Introduction of the Director & Faculty
Mr. Vivek Gautam Mr.Vivek Gautam(ex-international level badminton player) is the DIRECTOR of INIFD-ANDHERI. He formed this institute in the year 2002. He started this institute with a, vision of providing good quality education to students in the field of design. His main objective in life is to make INIFD-Andheri the best institute in India & World wide and create a revolution in the field of fashion. Ms. Mamta Gautam Ms. Mamta is the Centre Head of INIFD-ANDHERI. She has acquired a Post Graduate Diploma in Dietetics. Irrespective of her educational background, she has always had an eye for fashion and understands the growing demands of this industry as she comes from a family of garment exporters.

Ms Megan Rylel- Mentor to the institute
Megan Ryley completed her 4 year Bachelors of Fine Arts degree, with a concentration in Fashion Design, from The Fashion Institute of Technology. FIT is a world recognized institution dedicated to the preparation and training of it’s students in several areas of design related studies. The college uses New York City, not only as its campus, but also as a source of inspiration and development . While at FIT, Megan completed a full year of study abroad in Florence, Italy as well as an internship with internationally famed designer Oscar de la Renta. She also participated in several fashion shows and graduated with honors. She is a guiding source to our institute and mentors the students through the years with her vast knowledge in design.

Ms. Anisa Khan- Students coordinator and counselor
Ms. Anisa is the student’s Counselor as well as a faculty for English & Management. She is a Graduate in Political Science and a Post Graduate in History from Mumbai University. She has over a decade of work experience in teaching at INIFD

Ms. Gunalaxmi Gaitonde- Head of the Department. Ms Gaitonde is a senior for pattern making and garment construction, grading, draping and portfolio development. She is a pioneer in her field and guides the students in their third year towards gearing for the industry and also develops their portfolios. She has over 20 years of experience in this field has been a very big influence in shaping careers of student designers. Ms. Rama Srirangarajan Ms Srirangarajan teaches first year level pattern making and garment construction to the full time students. She has over 12 years of experience and develops the base for the students in the first year. She is ex-HOD of Weign and Leigh College and has been educated at the International Polytechnic for women.

Mrs. Rashmi
Mrs Rashmi is a senior faculty and has over 25years of experience in teaching fashion designing to students. Her main forte is concept and design development.

Ms. Karishma Gupta.
Ms Gupta is a graduate from the Sophia polytechnic specializing in Garment techniques and dress designing. She teaches pattern making and garment construction and surface ornamentation and embroidery to the 1st year part time students .

Ms. Madhura Wagh.
Ms Wagh is a degree holder in art and painting from SNDT and a diploma in Textile design from VJTI. She teaches the first and second year level students basics of designing, elements of design, fashion illustration, textile designing. She also conducts workshops in calligraphy, madhubani paintings, tie & dye, bag making etc.

Mrs. Sunita Menon:
Mrs Sunita has graduated from SNDT university in Fashion Design. Her main forte is teaching pattern making and garment construction, embroidery,world art and costume appreciation to students of fashion design.

Ms. Deepti Nanda
Ms. Deepti holds a Diploma in Fashion Designing from SNDT University. She has a Bachelor’s degree in commerce to her credit. Her experience includes working as a fashion designer for a leading fashion house. She teaches students embroidery and surface ornamentation.

Ms. Nidhi Deshmukh.
Ms Deshmukh has a diploma in advanced fashion designing and won second place in designing contest held by Oobe. She specializes in fashion illustrations and teaches students stylizations and working with different textures and mediums.

Mr. Kunal Sawant.
Mr Sawant is a post graduate in knitwear design and technology from NIFT and a graduate in chemistry from Bombay university.He is currently working with the well known brand : ED-HARDY & CHRISTIAN AUDIGIER as an Assistant manager for buying and sourcing for the same. Previous experience include working for Piramyd Retail LTD , International Design Trade , SHREE KRISHNA HOSIERY, VIBGYOR CLOTHING & CHOWDHARY GARMENTS .He teaches students illustration and help develop creativity and product development. He also teaches the Management students subjects like visual merchandising,fashion retailing.

Mr. Kushang Kavi
Mr. Kushang is a faculty in Computers for Fashion Design.. He has a Diploma in Graphic 2D & 3D to his credit. He has been guiding students through the intricacies (both creative and technical) aspects of Computer Aided Design. His work experience includes working as a faculty graphic head for 3 ½ years at St. Angelo’s computer pvt. Ltd. He was also working as a Senior Animator for the prestigious Birla Group of companies (Shloka InfoTech).

Ms.Koshalpreet Kaur
Ms. Kaur is a faculty for Textiles. Her academic base includes a Masters degree in Clothing and Textiles. She holds a diploma in Computer aided Design in Knitwear and Web Designing. Her past repertoire includes a successful stint as a project associate in IIT Delhi and Punjab Agriculture University on Natural Dyes. She has also worked as a Merchandiser in Sumeet Exports. Her past work experience includes teaching undergraduates at Punjab Agricultural University, and NIFD Delhi. Currently she is also working as a visiting faculty at NIFT (Mumbai) she has been part of various short term courses like Trends in Textile and Fashion. She has also done her diploma in painting from Birla School of Fine Arts (Kolkata).

Ms. Rugmani V.
A visiting Faculty for Fashion history, has completed her post graduation in history from Mumbai University. She has done her diploma in apparel manufacturing and design from SNDT and a diploma in Accessory designing. Ms. Rugmani has more than a decade of experience in teaching and designing fashion accessories. She is also a visiting faculty at Wighan and Leigh , Rizvi college of fashion , Sophia polytechnic, Cambrian college, Mesmer fashion camp. .

Mr. Muntazir Ahmed.
Mr. Ahmed is a pioneer in textile and has taught at VJTI for over……… He has now retired and teaching in various colleges like NIFD- Andheri, NIFT, SNDT,SOFT and many more.

Ms Chetan Utturkar
Mr Utturkar is a diploma holder in textile Manufactures and specialized in Apparel Production Management. He is working as a senior merchandiser at “parmeshwar Creations Pvt Ltd.He teaches apparel manufacturing,marketing and merchandising. He has over 10 years of experience in field of merchandising.


INTERIOR DESIGN

Mr. Amrik Singh- Head of the Department Mr. Singh is a practicing architect and interior designer and also has done his civil engineering. He teaches the technical aspects of interior design like building materials, construction, estimation and budgeting etc.He is a visiting faculty at Nirmala Niketan Polytechnic,P.V. Polytechnic, Garodia School of Professional Studies ,L.S. Raheja School of Architecture, Kamla Raheja School of Architecture. Mrs. Vaswati Ganguly. Mrs. Ganguly has done her BA rch from JJ college of Architecture. She teaches design, technical drawing etc subjects to the students of interior design. She also is a visiting faculty at SNDT polytechnic.

Mrs. Sidhi.
Mrs. Sidhi has a degree in Interior design and is a teacher who specializes in teaching AutoCAD 2D & 3 D and 3 D max.

Mr Abhijeet Patki
Mr Abhjeet Patki,is a senior and well know architect and interior designer, he currently teaches the students design development and the various aspects of Interior design.

Mr Ajit Prabhu
Architect Ajit Prabhu has years of experience in interiors. He teaches the students various aspects of interior designing.

Mr Jatin Asher
Mr Asher is a senior and well know architect and interior designer, he currently teaches the students design development and the various aspects of Interior design.

Mr Nimish Shah
Mr Nimish is a senior and well know architect and interior designer, he currently teaches the students design development and the various aspects of Interior design like landscape,retail design etc.

Mr Lewis
Architect Lewis is a senior and well know architect and interior designer, he currently teaches the students design development and the various aspects of Interior design like restaurant and bar design, residential design etc.

Mr Shashkant Ninawe
Mr Ninawe is a senior and well know architect and interior designer, he currently teaches the students design development and the various aspects of Interior design.


MBA in Design Management and other Management

Mr Rakesh Vanarse-Head of Department for management Mr Vanarse heads Brandcepts consultancy and communications and Brandcepts Advertising & Communications. He is a visiting faculty for MBA and specializes in teaching adversiting and brand management. He also teaches at Welingkar institute of management, KC college,MET,ITM,AICMS among others. He has taught over 12,000 students across India and has over 15years of teaching experience. Mr M.T.Bane Mr.Bane is a MBA and a PHD in Marketing. He is a pioneer in his field and specializes in teaching marketing, human resources; visual merchandising etc to the students doing their MBA .He is the HOD of SCVIP (SNDT) and visiting professor to various colleges.

Mr. T.K. Mishra
Professor Mishra is a senior faculty in the field of management and has a wide experience of teaching in management courses of top British and Indian Universities. These include BBA course of Heriot- Watt (Edinburgh), London School of Economics(Univ of London) & MBA course of University of Wales. The subjects taught were Finance, Economics, HRM & Marketing. He has also taught in MMS, PGDM, MFM & EMBA courses of reputed universities/Institutes including Mumbai University courses.

Ms Sudha Nair
Ms Nair is a visiting faculty for MBA,she specializes in communication skills and teaches them Business communication.

Mr. Deepesh Singh
Mr.Singh is a visiting faculty for MBA and specializes in teaching advertising,public relations,mall management,He is a professor at SBC,NMIMS university.

Ms. Achla Grover
Ms Grover is a Post Graduate in Knitwear Design & Technology from National Institute of Fashion Technology.(NIFT). She is the Deputy Manager – Buying and Sourcing for Etam (French Lingerie / Apparel Brand). Her main strengths lie in Market Research & Sourcing,Range Development Conceptualization,Knitted Apparel Draping and Pattern Drafting,and Different Market surveys outside India as well as within India and allocations accordingly.

Ms Aditi Raut
Ms Raut has done her MMS from Bombay university and is a lecturer at Chetana’s RK institute of Management studies. She is a visiting faculty for MBA and teaches subjects like marketing,project handling,international marketing etc.


JEWELLERY DESIGN

Ms.Preeti Ms. Preeti is a faculty from the jewellery Design Department. She has acquired a Diploma in jewellery Design from Janki Choukri Jewellery Design Institute. She has worked for a U.S based jewellery Export House in SEEPZ for two years.
